Our History
Bright Future Nursery and Primary school- Gayaza is a mixed day and boarding Primary school.
The school which was found by Mr.Kigozi Eddy Takirambudde and Mr. Byansi Sammy Seguya started way back on 9th February, 1998 with 23 pupils in classes Nursery to primary seven and eight qualified teachers listed below.

The first Bursar was Ms.Nannozi Esther. The first Night watchman was Mr.Osogo. The first cooks were Ms. Alice Norah Najjuma and Mr.Luseesa Lawrence.
The school started in temporary structures roofed with papyrus mats (Biwempe) in a former Bulamu women’s group building which was under the leadership of Ms.Nazziwa Aisha and Mrs.Mwanje Harima of Bulamu.
Present status of the school (2026)
The school bought land worth 2.4 acres and has constructed two permanent classroom blocks with 14 class rooms, 2 girls dormitories with a capacity of 400 pupils and a boys’ dormitory with a capacity of 300 pupils
The school enrollment has risen to 841 pupils. It has 34 devoted qualified teachers and 18 duty minded members support staff.
The school is fully registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports and has a UNEB centre.
The school conforms to the Curriculum as designed by the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) and generally provides an all round education i.e. education of the Head, Heart and Hands. It is one of the 50 best schools in Wakiso district in Primary Leaving Exams (PLE).
The school is environmentally alert as it incorporates environmental conservation and tree planting programs in its weekly routines. For instance, it collects polythene bags/ papers every Friday, engages in tree planting within its locality and has an environment club.
